Character turn around sheet:
Group Project
my Character: Vexx

World building:
In the year XX09, while centuries have passed, the lasting effects of Nuclear Fallout have left the world in a new state of the infected and uninfected people. The infected are left to fend their own in the global slums of the Oasis, where the sky periodically flows with a blue fog of toxins. All the while, the “Originals” live in orbit just outside of the atmosphere on the floating mechanical islands of Beyond.
Character Types
-
The Infected: Fused subspecies
-
The Sky Miners: Resistance force against the originals
-
The Truth: What led to the ascension of the uninfected?
-
The Originals: Unaffected Humans
-
The Disposal: Method of suppression and cleansing of impurities in the beyond

pre-production sketches

Groupmate work:
relevance:
I decided to include this in my portfolio because I believe it strengthens my body of work by showcasing my 2D art skills, as well as my understanding of character design, proportions, and perspective. These are essential skills in all aspects of digital art.
Each of us designed one character, creating turnarounds and expression sheets for all three. The characters were developed to align with the world-building information, ensuring they were relevant to the story and setting. The goal of this group project was to demonstrate our ability to maintain consistency in art style, lore, and overall design.
3d ART & modeling
cybermedieval Weapon line
Pre-Production:
I aimed for a stylized design by combining two aesthetics: medieval weapons and a cyberpunk aesthetic. My focus was on designing and modeling a battle axe and a great sword, showcasing the interplay between traditional and futuristic styles.

Production:
I started by modeling the battle axe, which presented some challenges. Certain elements didn’t work as I had hoped, and I was also relearning modeling techniques during the process. However, I learned from my mistakes and when I moved on to the sword, the workflow was much smoother. In conclusion, I am pleased with the final results.

Final Results:
Battle Axe

Great Sword

Relevance:
I decided to include this project in my portfolio because 3D modeling is an important skill for the industry. This piece highlights my ability to create unique designs and execute them effectively in 3D form. Additionally, I plan to expand this weapon line, as I thoroughly enjoyed the creative process and the distinct aesthetic I developed. This demonstrates not only my technical skills but also my commitment to exploring and refining my artistic vision."
